4 Ingredient Protein Pancakes

This protein pancake recipe is a lot easier than your think. No need to raid the cupboards for baking supplies or head out for some last minute ingredients; all you need is a frying pan, one bowl, two forks, 2 eggs, one ripe banana, a tsp of cinnamon powder and a protein powder of your choice. Additional but optional ingredients include peanut butter, honey, and fresh fruit to make for delicious toppings.

For guaranteed deliciousness everytime, I recommend using MyProtein’s Impact Whey Protein powder in vanilla.

This is a favourite easy breakfast/brunch recipe of mine that I found one evening scrolling through my Instagram explore page. Not only are you getting your protein from your chosen powder, but you’re also getting an additional 15g of protein from the eggs to help you power through your day, whatever your plans. The ripeness from the banana and the cinnamon powder makes for a mouth-watering treat everytime, satisfying any sweet tooth.

Start off by cracking two eggs in a bowl, and whisk with a fork. Unpeel your banana and seperate into two. Mash with two forks until the banana is separated into smaller pieces. Whisk again into the egg with a fork, then add a tspb of cinnamon, and 25g of a protien powder of your choice. The mixture makes around 5 pancakes, depending on how big you would like them.

Add a small portion of butter into a frying pan on a moderate heat and pour in the mixture from the bowl to create a small circle. Allow to cook for 30 seconds, then flip over to cook the other side until the pancake appears brown. (The darkness of the pancake is due to the cinammon.)

Slice up some fresh strawberries or sprinkle a handful of blueberries on top, and finish with a drizzle of honey or a table spoon of peanut butter. You’re all done!
